Frame Rails

Anyone know if someone sells frame rail bumpers? Something to protect them while lifting the car.

I bought a floor jack with a rubber pad installed. If you have a nice floor jack most of them you can buy the insert with a rubber pad from the manufacture and in some case aftermarket.

By the sounds of it you have the chassis clear coated ?? Roll up a rag and place it between the jack and frame , or a piece of 2x4 even should be fine . As mentioned a lot of new jacks have a rubber lift point which should be fine .

Hockey pucks work great!  Use em on ur jack stands use em on ur jack!

but pucks are cheap.

These seem kinda neat for pinch welds, I heard they work good but are a bit pricey.

a folded up welders glove or similar piece of leather  works to
