Nuts and bolts, here we go again

I am getting aggravated. Every time I go to do even the simplest thing I find out I am missing something. Yesterday I went to swap over my switches to the new Dakota Digital instrument cluster and I open my interior screw kit (Dante's interior screw kit), find the bag of screws to attach my new cluster bezel and they are not the correct ones. I think, ok maybe it's the new cluster, let me try them on the old cluster...nope, just the wrong screws. I tried all 15 bags and none are correct. Some will say, just use the old screws that came off the other one....Like every other thing on this car there were no screws with that one, it was all just a jumble of parts.
Do any of these places selling parts actually even attempt to check things before they sell them?
If this was CI they would probably tell me to use velcro...
