Hey Gang...

Now that I have the 426 Hemi running in the Daytona, I wanna accomplish some upgrades on the 727 from either my local tranny shop or in the garage. What are the standard modifications I can do without removing the tranny. Currently, the 727 has these:

1. Cheetah TurboAction street/strip valve body
2. 2400-2800 stall converter.

Things I was considering would be accumulator rod, increase in throttle pressure just to name a few. I'm looking to improve the 1-2 shift and make the 2-3 shift better. I have had 727's in the past with the Cheetah and it banged nice and firm. But, if i recall, my buddy who built the tranny way back then removed some springs from the clutch pack...

Thanks in advance...

Thanks Charlie...

I'm trying to accomplish this at home. I only have a couple days out of the month to take the car places and plus I wanted to see if there's anything I can do from the garage. I'm pretty comfortable up inside there, just don't wanna pull the tranny. It was rebuilt last year, but nothing more the the Cheetah VB put in....

Thanks..
T

Personally, and with all due respect to the wider and diversified pool of knowledge, I think you have to recognize it is the "internet" after all ? and much of it might just as well be some 14 yr old behind a keyboard in his Mom's basement for all it's worth ?

These are 45 year old 727 Transmissions.....
It is NOT a common knowledge base anymore..... especially behind a HEMI ?

IMHO,
If John Kunkel is willing to expell breath to anyone about a 727 Mopar, that person would be VERY well advised, to listen very carefully.

Yes, I couldn't agree with you more. But, with that, I've been on the various discussion boards for many many years as well and can pretty much figure out who's a crack-pot, a novice, someone with the best intensions but doesn't have a clue all the way to all those like John. I have gained insight from many people on this board as well as moparts and now to a lesser degree, the cuda-challenger forum. Over the decade +, I hopefully have helped many people as well. I value the likes of John K. but also know there are others out there with similar and/or different experiences. I thrift through the responses and see what's applicable to my particular situation just as I would expect someone's thread that I replied too to heed other's words-of-wisdom.

Thanks for your insight and reply...

Yeap, have that.. I put that in from the beginning since I put the 426 Hemi in. I used factory Hemi tranny cooler lines and mounted the cooler in the nose.
