Need a little help with replacing the rocker shaft spacers on my 440. At one time my engine had Crane adjustable rockers on it, but now has the MP stamped steel rocker assemblies. During the swap the aluminum spacers were reused and guess what !?!? They don't mix. The steel rockers ate into the aluminum spacers.

I have searched Ebay and the net trying to locate anyone who might be selling replacement spacers and can't find anything. I only found rocker arm shims MP# 3690896. Can somebody please help me locate a complete set of these spacers (in steel) so I can get my Charger going again?

Thanks!!

i used i think from hughes engines , they have a variaty of different thickness's
i still had to mill some for the clearance's but this made it a lot easier,
440 source from memory had some as well ,
just about everywhere , just measure mock up first , try thin shim ones it between the different steels, look at there billit hold downs as well and after market thicker wall shafts,
just to make sure that thats not a result of binding when shafts are snugged down  :2thumbs:

Thanks for the tip!  :2thumbs: I checked Hughes and they do have many different thicknesses to choose from. Since I am running stock stuff now, I wonder how thick the stock spacers should be.

I gave them a call but they ran out a few months ago and don't have any. I am hopeful a post to auto recycler's might turn something up.  :shruggy:
