I have been messing with my dash frame quite a bit and have a question. Is there a way to line up the glove box door and the center pad so they do not have a crazy gap at the top? The glove box door has a bit of wiggle room but this seems way off.
See yellow arrow in picture.

Ghoste

I'm not sure about the answer but that's definitely not right.

I think it's the pads themselves, they are actually touching at the top but the part that is touching is back sides of the pads.

Hard Charger

its the pads.

I recently worked on this area and there is not enough play in the center pad and the glove box door to make perfect.

have you got a picture of the whole glove box door straight on !   ,  so its  showing both ends  gap to center pad & gap to dash end ,  is  the hinge is fitted correct ?
Feel free to post any relevant picture you think we all might like to see in the threads below!

Here it is..glove box door could prob get a little closer but I quick just put it back on.

Nah you can get it a lot closer than that,
loosen the left screws into just enough to let it pivot , now back the right ones off , close door  onto catch , and try to line it up ,
once you see where it moves you will get the idea , with it open everythings sort of backwards in adjustment  :2thumbs:

The pads actually touch each other at the point that touch the dash, it's like one pads themselves angle like this \/

Over time through heating and cooling the glove box door pad has shrunk and
deformed. Zip you can do about it short of finding a replacement.

So the way the pads look now is sort of normal and I need new pads?
