Yes, today I can explain why I never answered your PM. But first I want to ask you WHICH ONE? As I remember it, I sent you a PM due to something that you had posted in the open forum that I received notice of and I certainly thought that I completely explained then why I was sending you the PM. Please understand that I do not enjoy having to lock threads or split them or make them disappear. None of us do, but I at least had the decency to PM you about it and not call you out in this forum. Also I have only been able sporadically, to use my computer for the past several days. Maybe you would like to know what else I do all day when I am not worried about your PM's?

On the Brian Williams thread : again, I received a message to check the thread. In that thread I saw things getting somewhat out of hand between members and was letting it go for the time being. Then I saw the mention of politics.  It is not only the site rules that NO POLITICS OR RELIGION be spoken here, but even for those times that we have let it go and see if people will real themselves in, they sometimes don't. I locked it. THE END.

Troy owns this site. We moderators follow his instruction. He built this site for everyone. That includes not only members, but very many people who you don't see.

It is not my place to tell you how anything can disappear. I will tell you that some threads are removed at the request of the original poster.


Now let me take this time to explain a few more things that you and maybe some others wonder about.

First, I, like most people, do not appreciate being called out by anyone. Especially after I took the time and sent you a PM about the issue.. By the way, (PM) = PRIVATE MESSAGE.

Second, It was mentioned earlier in this thread that this is a small or not such a big site. Not so true. This site sees traffic 24/7 by people many never know are here. We have all been told at one time or another that the site loses people due to the insults and poor judgement of how people are treated. This thread comes to mind for me right now. This site would have and show very many more members if everyone felt comfortable joining.   We are NOT children here. Most absolutely do self moderate. ALL SHOULD. PLEASE DO.............

              OK, here comes the curious part Steve. Politics were not mentioned in the thread. Maybe you, being the all seeing mod, can either tell me here or pm me, where politics was mentioned in the thread. The word, politics, was mentioned twice I think. But that doesn't make it a political discussion. Can you explain what part of the thread about Williams was political. Im still slow and learning.

The parts of this thread where insults and poor judgement were shown would seem to me be the parts where a mod should step in. I hope you aren't saying it was me who was being insulting> Secondly the site IS select so it can only get so many people on it. Its all about Dodge Chargers and people who own them, people that want to own them. So the site is limiting itself. But that's neither here nor there.

This site for the most part is clean and civil. I enjoy that. There are other sites that are not clean and civil. Ignorance, rudeness and vulgarity is accepted in some places, but not here. I agree that we do police ourselves to a point. When people get out of hand the mods must step in. That is what keeps this site clean and civil.

There have been trolls that try to spoil what we have, they dont last long, I would think that is do to the efforts of the mods. Thank you mods for that.

el dub, I am sorry if you don't like the rules or how this site is run. We do everything we can to keep it a nice site for all. As Chris said, we volunteer our time to this site. That means we do this as best we can when we have time to work on this site. Most of us have full time jobs and we also try to find time to enjoy our mopar hobby. Some of us also have children and grandchildren that we spend time with. Also sometimes we have issues with old computers. What we are not is sitting in the same room in an office building somewhere discussing each and every thread. We have a job to do and all of us do it the best we can with what we have. We have few rules here for all to abide by, but there is one constant. If you do not like the rules or the way things are run here, leave.  This thread is far from productive. It is a total embarrassment to and for me and for this site.

You said it was very low class making things disappear instead of a lock. Isn't it nice that you know best! It's funny though, because you don't understand these simple things, but you think calling me out with a thread in the open forum is CLASSY and probably won't understand when this thread disappears.

Anything further than this can be handled in PM either with me or with Troy.
