Does anyone have any experience with having the 68/69 vinyl lower dash pads restored, the one under the radio, that the a/c vents would go thru on an ac car. My vinyl is nice shape but the backs are starting to come apart. They don't fit flush against the dash frame itself and one of the attaching bolts is broken. The center one is my biggest issue. My glovebox and the left side small pad are ok. But the main center piece is giving me fits. Any thoughts?? also can someone remind me the name of the place in canada that is try to repop these? I spoke to them a month or two ago and they weren't happy with the first run, and were waiting on round 2. But I lost their info......

Find a used one on ebay and paint it. Those pieces are not yet reproduced. Or, I should say were not, yet may be now. I had heard the '70 ones were available..? Try BE/A Parts or PG Classic.

yes, someone on here, I can't find it, told me of a place who was just starting to repop them. I called them and they said, like I mentioned, they were hoping for more luck on their second run of them. My vinyl is fine, just the backs are poor. I have had good luck with the paint though, I was very happy how they turned out with the vinyl paint in black.

I was able to save mine with some patience and labor. They turned out really nice. I will call up there and see how their 2nd run turned out. Would be great to have a source, I got lucky saving mine

I used two part epoxy to secure the metal backing to the foam. Also I grinded down the two upper sharp corners so that they wouldn't protrude beyond the corner of the foam/vinyl.
