I want to see what kind of conditions chargers are in different areas like comparing how bad rust is in different parts of the US or Canada.

Only thing you can find here is a pile of rust and some dried out plastic.

I originally snagged this for a parts car...mostly because the price was right.
Now I've probably changed my mind. Comparing it to other cars out there, it's definitely not worth cutting up.
The main problem is the previous owner cut the VIN tag off the dash, he punched right through the windshield to get it. :image_294343: So getting a title would probably be a big can-o-worms...which leaves "plan B", a drag car!! :drive: :boogie: :icon_smile_big:

BTW, that left fender has more mud than my back yard. :-\

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Here is a picture of my parts car.  This car sat in this field from 1990 until a few months ago when I bought it.  The rear of the car is rusted as usual... but not bad to have sat out in the weather for over 15 years

Mopar Or No Car!!!!!!!!

TruckDriver

My car when it was delivered from its home of 32 years in the desert of Arizona. I bought it for $1,500. After the second pic, it was pushed into the storage unit behind it where it still sits today. I also put Aluminum slots on it. I hope it will be running by the end of next month.

The engine after I cleaned 20 some years of dust & sand off of it. I have replaced the plug wireds already, the coil, the distributer, and currently I have the water pump off of it, the radiator out, and I still wanna pull the power steering pump off to pressure wash it before I put it back together.

The somewhat cleaned interior.

The ONLY major rust in the whole car is here in the trunk because of a leaky weather seal on the trunk lid, and a shag rug in the trunk for over 20 years :rotz: 1st one is passenger side, 2nd is the driver side.

JimShine

My 1968. Maine car all but a year of its life (first year the owner was in the military and he had it over in Germany. Brought it back at some point in 1970). Trunk pan rot (but not horrible), lower quarter rot. Valence was shot. First pic is the day I got it. Next is after I cleaned all the fudge out of the rust free fenders.

moparsinbarns

My 69. 383 auto. It has a very very rare vinyl/cloth, buddy seat combo :nana: Lol

My 72 Rallye  needs drivers floor pan, 1 quarter was replaced, needs additional work. rusty underneath vinyl top.............hoping roof replacement wont be necessary.  did work on it a little last week. hadnt started it for 2 years. started on first try! drove it around the yard a little and parked it in a better location.

twilt

another one of my 72`s have had this one for about 12 years now. need to replace or patch the pass side rear floor pan. water leak caused a few pin holes, rest of it is weak.

twilt

another 72............. 5 years ago, i would have cut this car up in a heartbeat   passenger 1/4 was replaced a long time ago....job
was piss poor to say the least. sheetmetal screws and lots of bondo, now rusty at bottom. going to replace it.. drivers side 1/4 can probably be patched and repaired, trunk needs some attention. dutchman panel is beat to hell, decklid is lousy. what sux is that the cars sheetmetal is mint from the doors forward.

terrible one

Twilt, is that Stormhammer's topper car that he was trying to sell on the old board?

Why Yes it is. :yesnod:  He finally found a sucker and i bought it. ;)  However, i did not pay anything close to what he had been advertising it for. I guess you could say that the price was very negotiable. Had some fun getting it running. Put a used carb on it-old one was broken, new fuel pump and a new gas tank-was missing . Still couldnt get gas up the line to the carb................turned out that the mud dawbers (sp.) had plugged the line up with some of our red GA clay about 2 or 3 feet up the line from where the tank had been.

Charger_Croatia

My 73, originally from Georgia but was purchased in Ohio. Not so bad, few small holes in floor (coin size) and need patches on 1/4's.
I managed to start the engine when she arrived, and I must say it runs well. Now she is stripped down, and I hope with better weather to speed up work on it.
