From what I remember it was one of the many trim packages available at the time. I think the Southbounder was only available in southern states like GA and/or NC. There were other packages at the time like Warlock, Top Hand, Macho, etc. A decent list can be found here http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2011/03/i-just-learned-of-dodge-trucks-ive.html.  To find specifics about the trim package will have to do a little more digging around.

Yea thanks, I found that site and learned of even more special package trucks.  :2thumbs: Just no info on what it or many other packages consisted of?  :shruggy: Warlock, Red Express and Power Wagon all come to mind as popular and I've seen Macho and Prospector for sale in the past. I found short bed, long bed and Club cab versions so it's kinda mapping out all over the place. (76-78?)

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I have never heard of these before. Maybe they didn't sell them in the NW?

Seems to be a N.C. area thing? Southbounders apparently is a trail club for the Appellation Mountain area. (?)
