Not sure what to ask for...

Hi guys,  As you all know Christmas is right around the corner and now I am getting the questions from the family on what I want as far as car parts. This raises a bigger question for me. My goal is to get the car moving and drivable in the spring of '15. For that I know I need to get the engine redone (512 stroker) which will be started in Feb and locate a 727 core to rebuild. As far as interior I have a dash but need a cluster (http://www.dakotadigital.com/index.cfm/page/ptype=product/product_id=939/category_id=679/mode=prod/prd939.htm) and the entire wiring for the car (Ron Francis or Painless) and a shifter and all it's components. Where should I start first?  In my head when the engine is fresh off the dyno in April I want to drop it in the car and hook everything up and go. other than the engine and trans what should I focus on and what should I tell the family to get me under the $100 range?

One often "overlooked" area that I see all too frequently.... relative to the Engine being able to run properly once "installed" in a Body ? especially a STROKER at... or exceeding 500hp ?
Is the FUEL SYSTEM !

Google it... do some research... but for a "given" HP, there is a "required" amount of Fuel that has to be DELIVERED to the Carb... usually never dropping below 6 psi at the Carburetor Float !

you would be amazed how many believe a 3/8" Fuel Line with a Mechanical Pump mounted on the engine..... can adequately SUCK FUEL, which has "volume" or "mass" inside the puny line.... all the way back 16 ft to a Gas Tank under acceleration ?.... little-lown maintain 6 psi at the bowl ?
STOP that foolishness !

Under $100 ?
How about a small electric pump rear mounted by the tank to "help" a bit ?

You get car parts for Christmas?  I picked the wrong religion.   

Nothing you need is under $100 so coupons for your favorite car parts dealer woulld be nice to lighten the cost of those big ticket items.  You need the cluster and the wiring so whatever you can save on those is a bonus.
