That's a gorgeous looking car and appears to
have been done very well.
Might be in the ballpark. :shruggy:

Looks pretty clean, but some things that i se are......

Spatter paint in trunk
yellowed dash gauges
wrong color pleats in the seats
wrong carb
decals on wheel certer caps
no seat belt holders?
wrong valve covers
general detailing nunder the hood

Those iotems are nothing big and oerall, it looks very nice but for 65 large, it should be perfect.

no seat belt holders?
You mean on the ceiling?  If it's a 67 built 68 shoulder belts are optional.

moparnation74

No mention or pictures of the Fender Tag/Buildsheet,  Non Matching drivetrain, No photos of the underside, Rear tail panel emblem looks horrible amongst other mistakes.

65k, No way, for that cash.  I expect to see the fender tag, build sheet, partial vin, body vin stamps etc.

It could be a rebody for all we know.

Here's what I caught............

Good catch on the radiator & gold paint. Now, if they are going to do a color change & not paint the roof rails, it makes me wonder what other surprises one will find in person.

I was refering to the seat belt hold down clips since the belts are just lying loose.

Ah okay.

Interesting that it was converted to electronic ignition but still has a drum drum master on it.

Ghoste

I don't know, the mania for disc conversions is a more recent thing whereas people starting swapping out points ignition over 35 years ago.

I was going to say that based on the dashboard decals alone. Who does a big restore job on a car and doesn't take apart the gauge cluster to fix and clean up one of the things you stare at constantly.   :scratchchin: :slap: When I see a shiny car with the little things missing it screams quick flip.   If your good with that than no big deal but for that entry price, no way. Better cars out there for half the price.

 :Twocents:
That Charger looks really good from the pictures, and I don't think the price is too far off($45- $50K ?), with the following caveats FIRST in moving up closer to the higher asking price:

1.) Fender Tag and a few body stampings ?.... to verify that it is a REAL R/T and Factory 4-speed .... and NOT a re-Body.
Obviously non-numbers matching and he admits as much, but verify also...... it was a factory 4-speed, and NOT a converted Auto.

if the above checks out..... then

2.) Strictly inspection for condition and quality of the restoration

Long story short here, I don't think he is too far off...... if it is a REAL 1968 Charger R/T with Factory 4-Speed that can be verified(albeit color changed and non-numbers matching) as long as the quality of the resto is nicely done, which it appears to be.

If it is a re-body.... or even a REAL R/T but converted to 4 -speed, color changed, and non-numbers matching, it is only worth what some-one is willing to pay.

With an BIN price of 65K, 40-50 is a huge drop.

Nice car, just not $65K nice.

Anyone else notice the '69/'70 tail light cover in the trunk? ('68's did not have them)  :scratchchin:
Also pretty sure rocker moldings did not debut until '69 as well?  :scratchchin:

They had the rocker trim for 67 (and 66?) but I can't say for 68.

moparnation74

Here is the fender tag.  They could not produce the body stampings.

Mytur Binsdirti

Geez, could you make it any smaller?

Lol, wasn't me it was the way the seller sent it to me.

stripedelete

Not as proud of the fender tag as he is the rest of the car.
