I have everything apart and need to finish this as im using the car tomorrow. I cant find any wiring diagram for it!

I got a new radio, it has 3 wires: red for main power (accessory, on when ignition is on). Orange for always on. And black for ground.

The car had a plug for original radio. Radio has red and orange. Car has two orange, red with white stripe, and black. The way it was connected: red on the radio was connected to red with white stripe and black. Orange to the two orange ones.

I dont have a volt meter so have no idea what is what! Please help!

My understanding is that i dont have always hot wire (orange on new radio) and would need to tap into something else (like cigaret lighter, but it doesnt work in my car, so need other options). Are the two orange wires lighting? Is red with white stripe main power? What is black then? Original radio didnt have ground wire and was grounded to the body, right?

Ok, i have pulled the red and black one out and connected my yellow and red wires to it. The radio works! I know i have to find a source of steady power for yellow wire (to keep memory on the radio), and i read that best bet is lighter... But is there another option?

Also, funny part, when i turn my right turn signal, the radio turns off.. I have a suspicion the black wire is something to do with the turn signals. How do i defeat it?

I can not find the radio on any of my wiring diagrams. Get a cheap 12v test light at any auto parts store. That should help you. Move the post over to electric, gauges and lights. Maybe someone will see it there.

are we talking about the original radio? if so, there is something wrong there.

original wiring consist on:

Power plug... red is power JUST IN ACC OR RUN... orange is cluster ilumination for the face.

Speaker plug... if Mono, black "negative", green "positive"

If stereo... Black common "negative", green left side, violet right side both "positive"

Radio gets "ground" by chassis
