Whats this car worth? My son found it on craigslist and is interested. My gut is the price is too high.
I am guessing the sunroof makes it rare. What are your opinions? Have you ever seen anything similar? What should we offer if it is priced too high?

If that is original paint and there is not rust bumps showing through under the vynil top and it runs good I would be happy with it the way it is
Easy sell around here for the asking price (Ontario)
Any rips in the seats ?
Headliner still good ? (might be a bit of a pain to change one and make it look good around sunroof)

Looking at the pictures again it looks like the headliner is out of it by what is laying in the trunk

Well here is my  :Twocents:
Many Satellite Sebring's have been cloned into GTX's/Roadrunners.  A Sebring plus was generally a very well optioned car with a smaller engine than a GTX. NOTHING wrong with a Sebring, eventually they will be non-existant. This one has many including a sunroof and power windows. PB, PS and the only thing I see as it not having is A/C and a 340 or big block.  But a 71 - 318 is better than a 73 or 4 318.
All plus in my book. It looks to be in decent shape, it will need some TLC and paint eventially but if it runs and is not a rust bucket I would say go look at it.  And I can't stress that enough, LOOK at it. Pictures will not tell the entire story of this car.
Before I purchased my 73, I looked long and hard at a 71 Sebring Plus. But the rust on it got the better of me and decided it didn't want to deal with that.  I would be fighting it forever.
Keep in mind, you'll either pay for a solid car now or sheet metal later.  And not everything is available for this car, I know, I checked back then.
I would say, go look. Bring cash and see if he/they will budge on the price if you wave some cash. If they do, I'd grab it.
That is my thoughts   :2thumbs:

8K is a fair price IMO.

Id hit him lower, but considering al the good parts and pieces are there, (and I don't see any rust from the pictures) somebody will get a good car to work with for not that much money.... considering cost of sheet metal and rare parts these days.

The biggest part of the equation making it $8 grand worthy is the sunroof (...and its not a 73-74).  :Twocents: :Twocents:

always loved that shape , the 71-72 ,  as rare as a sunroof is ,  given the choice between two identical cars , except one with a sunroof & one with out , would go for the one with out ,  reason being , to me sunroof = luxury , not muscle car !  ( no offence to hole in the roof owners    )
& that's what I would be turning this satellite into if I had it ,  a roadrunner / GTX   look alike ,  or clone or tribute what ever the latest word is to describe one .
if someone was to buy this car , I think it should be restored to OEM standard , for shows etc  :yesnod:

On a sun roof car how does the headliner go in ?

Is there an extra pannel in the roof of the car to keep the sun roof away from the headliner ?

Will it cut down on head room if you are tall ?

Its a special headliner...and it does reduce headroom.  The headliner itself is a hard fiber board thingy with cloth covering (similar to modern cars). It a full length headliner and sits below the sunroof module allowing the slider to go backwards without being seen. The sunroof slider itself also has a cloth covered fiberboard thing attached to the bottom so you don't see bare metal when its closed.

If that car were closer, I'd have already bought it. :Twocents:

I agree with these guys. Offer him $6.5k and be very happy at anything under $8. For a +Plus, I'm surprised it does not have a 383, sport mirrors, light package or other options on it. The +Plus did come with the rallye gages which is cool. As solid as this one is, it looks great to me.

If you pick it up I have seom perfect emblems for you!

Killer Sebring, even a 318 it's still rare with that sunroof. Super clean body, worth it for sure!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.
