The New MAN CAVE....garage....

Well the wife let me have the garage....sort of! I kinda took it over one afternoon while she was at work. Did some painting, some artwork on the wall, 50 inch tv,  some shelves, and cabinets, and a bumble bee stripe on the ceiling! (pain in the ass by the way!) Car has real tail lights, real license plates, and eventually some exhaust tips, and maybe some dice in the front! What ya guys think? Suggestions on what next?

Looks very cool! Although I would have painted the Charger big enough and placed the TV on the wall right where the back window should be, that would be really cool!

Thanks guys! Totally a process though! I agree about the floor. I've been looking at different floors and WOW...expensive. SO I'm thinking I'm leaning towards concrete paint....taping it off like I did everything else, and painting it on. Then laying a layer of epoxy down over it to seal it up.  I like the banner idea! Have to look on ebay for some of those...also have some uncut baseball cards. Big sheets actually. Thinking of framing them and putting them out there as well. Then along the black stripe I have some 1/18 scale cars I thought about lining them up too....

I had mine painted in epoxy by a local company.  Two car garage was around $1600.  They ground the floor down with a diamond wheel, filled all the cracks with epoxy putty then put down two coats of paint.  Looks great.  Others want to use acid to etch the floor, my way made lots of dust but I didn't have to worry about acid getting slung around!!

You can get kits from Griots and even Lowes for less than $500 but it requires preping the floor with acid.

FWIW - This summer I finally decided to do something with my garage floor and so far I am very happy with the results. I spent a lot of time researching different options and costs and finally went with http://www.bigfloors.com/shop/garagetrac/  They have sales usually around Thanksgiving and in the spring which makes the tiles a little more affordable. I ran carpet tiles where I stand and walk a lot and it seems to work well for me. The wife & I knocked it out in a weekend.

Beautiful garage!  The floor looks very nice but I was wondering about moisture getting underneath the tiles.  When you lift it up is it wet underneath?  Another for me it hosing it down. If it gets wet does water seap through the cracks?
