Wouldn't seem like this could result, but then again it is Los Angeles freeways.

I can see how it could happen.  If the car on it's nose and the car behind it are both in a heavy braking situation, the nose of the rear car would dive under the first car.  Physics does the rest.

If the photo is real and I was one of the rescue guys, I sure as hell wouldn't be standing right next to a car standing on its' nose.  Photoshop?

Yeah, I don't see how a heavy object like a car could stay in a raised position like that without falling over...

Shadow on the top of the grey SUV appears to be wrong.  Rescue people shadows go to left and slightly down.  Upright car shadow should be more square and covering more of the grey SUV.

look at rear bumper pushed up and  how the tail pipe/resonator has been bent down to rear axle as car went under back of one in front  :scratchchin:

Front wheel drive on the one on it's nose. Saw a vet submarine a vega (long ago), vega rear end went straight up about 4-5 feet. Luckly lady driving the vega rolled forward as it came down & missed the vet.
