Not sure.. There are a few things I will be addressing this weekend.. But yes, the radiator hose is on the "check-list" of things to do. I got the charging problem squared away; cleaned the wiring conectors and replaced the voltage regulator with one of the new units I have in my stash..... I'll be looking to get a shroud soon for a '69-earlier car, fixing the hoses for the headlamps ( they work, just the hose is not tight at the vacuum can. Then I'll address the turn indicators. All fun stuff I can tinker with.....

Productive morning thus far, love the 9/80 work schedule. Got the door lock cylinders rekeyed to match the ignition key and finished off changing the tranny kickdown linkage to the proper 69 version...

All that just to swap to a four speed?  :D

If I keep the car, it'll be a WHILE before the 4speed action occurs..... In the meantime, I didn't wanna stare at the single rod kickdown configuration......  :icon_smile_cool:

Hey troy, I notice on your Key ring my house key to the Mopad is still on there.  Just got a price for paint and body on the 500.  It appears it is 5k more to change to B5 so it looks like it will be Y2.  Only problem is he can't get it in until January.

Why would it cost that much more?....... You pretty much have to paint the whole car regardless.......  Is B5 made of gold?

Coming from a younger generation, I think it's pretty cool that gentlemen can still come to trading agreements with such sweet cars (and a little $). Not common where I am from.

Winding down the long weekend. Removed the starter on the orange Daytona then messed with the black Daytona. Got the headlamp buckets working, changed out some gaskets and starting to figure out some dash light gremlins... Also changed out the heater hoses, replaced the upper hose with a proper one. Also changed out the turn signal switch in troubleshooting some light woes....

Man, that paint job Larry did looks great...... no wonder you enjoyed taking this car out Allen..........  :2thumbs:

I ve had the dash light gremlins .If you jump power at fusebox to the 3 amp dash fuse. They may come on .Then check roll switch connection wiggle roll knob dash grounds. And check circuit board pins .I by passed the roll rheostat who needs lower dash lights .I used 194 bulb as stock was 158s for dashlight .And tapped into radio light or headlight connection.By a yellow and black tracer wire I think was the one . And had Full bright non adjustable dashlights

Thanks Dave..

I am going to dig into the dash and get things squared away. Found out why both brake lights are coming on when I turn on either of the turn-signals ( bascially, when I turn on an indicator direction, both side came on ). Now, for some reason, the right works, but the left dash and front indicator don't come on..... I'll figure it out I'm sure. I have enough spare dash components I can get it going...

Operation: Black Daytona.
Well, jumped into it full bore. After work, pulled the radio and complete dash. Time to check things out on the harness to see why my turn indicators are still acting up. Betcha it's a ground, but we'll see. Might as well reface the gauges while I'm at it..

I had problems with my turning signals and brake lights. Had to replace turning signal switch assembly in the steering wheel. Works fine now no more problems.

Put a new one in Sunday....... But, didn't solve the problem... There are some cut wires here and there, I'm suspecting a ground or break in a wire.....
