Year One brand new light switch dosent work

Hi!

Jut got the new light switch from YearOne
Was not able to get the headlight to work
Took it apart and used the old light switch internal parts
then it worked...

Anyone else had problems with these new ones?

They are junk. I installed one on my 68 and within 5 minutes of turning my headlights on while driving at night they shut off on me. I almost got into a crash. They sent me another one that works but intermittently shuts off while driving. I suggest getting a original one restored or bringing a spare if you have a china cheapo year one.

I had to do the same thing with my buddy's 68. He bought a new one and it wouldn't work so I did the same thing you did and used the old switch internals and got it working. Very cheap made considering what these headlight switches cost!!
