The first picture of the bracket, is a cruise control bracket. It mounts on the driver's side inner fender just rearward of the fender tag.

Thanks! I would have never guessed it would be that

The clips are for wiring behind the dash ,like the clove box light wires. Looks like a lot of them though.

Yes, usually there is only 2 or 3.  They clip to the edge of the underside of the dash and basically keep wires from falling down.
The headliner clips are much larger than that.

thanks guys!
So I have another question.  Did the 69 charger offer cruise control?  I dont think it did.  My dad was the original owner of this car and if i remember correctly he used to say that he liked hitting 100 miles an hour and kicking in the cruise control while on HWY 5.    :coolgleamA:

Yes. You could get cruise on a 69 Charger.

I think the plate item is part of the front inner fender splash shield assembly.

Good morning Ghoste,

Yes I'm certain that's what that plate is. If you look in the front wheel well toward
the front of the car it's the piece that bolts to the bottom of the inner fender sheet metal. At
the bottom of this plate there is a flap of that flexible splash shield stuff mounted to it.
The FSM might show this.

I cheated a bit when I resto'd my car. When I removed these plates they
had a lot of factory undercoating on them. I scraped that stuff off and sprayed the plates
with "chassis black" paint. Don't tell anyone..........I could be banned from the forum.

Ghoste

Oh ok, so they would normally be covered with undercoating then?

twodko

That I can't say for sure but mine were.

That is defiantly a cruise servo bracket.

Charger-Bodie.  do you have any pictures you can share.  I went to check, and I none of the existing holes line up with the bracket struds.

( yeah I know it should be undercoated , but at the time I was putting it back together decided to leave them in primer  :shruggy:)

I've got a lot of cruise control servo brackets and none have tilted studs like the one in the OP...IOW, the studs are straight across from each other.  :shruggy:

A tape measure laid next to the bracket would help.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

::) These are all cruise servo brackets........... '71- '73- '70 Notice the one on the right (missing a stud) canted bolt pattern and looks just like the one in the OPs first post.
I don't know how much more evidence some people need.  IT IS A CRUISE SERVO BRACKET!!   :pulling hair:
