This country hasn't cared about its borders for a long time.  Besides, gotta get those unregistered Democrat voters in here ASAP!

Yeah, it's a bad joke all around.  The public has been complaining about the whole issue for 30+ years. 

The situation is predictable.  The only really practical solution for all the illegals is to eventually give them a path to citizenship, at least most of them.  And I think most of the public would be okay with that policy change, ***IF*** it also included closing down the new inflow at the borders once and for all.  But of course Washington is only interested in doing the former, not the latter. 

The MSM is no help either.  Every time the public tries to talk about the borders, the MSM carefully shifts the discussion away from the borders and onto the problem of dealing with the existing illegals.  That's the only part of the problem that the powers want to address.

Yup.  Also, considering how Arizona is the most prominent state to have fought against this blanket amnesty nonsense, I can only assume that the majority of the country is OK with letting people in here no matter what; laws, borders and sovereignity be damned...
