Looking at exhaust studs from McMasters Carr.  They recommended the following:

Overall Length 1 1/2"Thread Length (A)3/4"(B)1/2"Additional Specifications18-8 Stainless Steel5/16"-18

Also, they mentioned that I should use teflon tape, on the threads, as they go into the water jacket.
Thanks

I am just glad to hear they are supposed to go into the water jacket! Did my first mopar headers two weeks ago and freaked out when a stud backed out and I lost all my coolant!

Going from memory here, so I could be mistaken, but, 3/8-16 on one end and 3/8-24 on the other.  Not sure they are all 1 1/2" as a couple might be longer.  Personally, I would not bother with SS.  just use a little RTV on the course thread into the block.

OP must have a small block, they're 5/16".
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Lock tight sealer them in dry, a bit of anti seize compound on threads for future removal of nuts etc
