440 rods or 440 six-pack rods?

I am currently assembling a 1968 440 block with new parts that I bought from PAW (when they were still in business in 2007) for my 1972 Charger. Here are the specs: .030 over; steel crank; Speed Pro Pistons Part # L2295F030

The question that I have is whether or not the rods I have are the heavier 440-6 pack rods or not.

This motor will be a six-pac set up, but how was this particular motor was specced out?  Original Six Pack motors, I'm told, were externally balanced whereas the regular 440 was internally balanced. Should this engine be internally balanced or externally balanced?

Since I do not have the flywheel, flex plate or balancer yet (and need to buy them) I need to know whether or not they need to be weighted.

Since the crank is steel and has a six bolt connection point on the back where it connects to the flex  plate and flywheel, I would think it should be internally balanced. The six pack motors I heard, had an 8-bolt connection point and also had heavier rods.

So I'm trying to figure out what rods I have.

The rods I have are cast with the #s DF2MS3049 on them. There is no manufacturer's mark.

When I did a google search on the #s the only thing that comes up is a guy that is selling some old rods that he says came out of a 440 six-pack set up. However, that does not mean it was an original six pack motor.

So I need to determine if these are the heavier rods or not and would like to know the manufacturer.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

John the short of it,
They were good in there day, that's long past
Yes internally balanced, you will need harmonic damper and flywheel, also rods and pistons
If your doing a concourse resto yes by all means use them , but if not sell them off and go modern new technology , lighter stronger better, engine will rev freely with reduced mass ,
Hemis had the 8 bolt, six packs were standard 440 I believe,
If your after performance all I would use from your list is block and crank if I had to, lots of stroker options available
Look at the proven engine combos threads,
Heavier rotating mass will rob power , you will need to decide on manual or auto quickly because of balancing and treatment of end of crankshaft for bush to suit converter or input shaft from manual trans,
Hopefully Ron pipes in to lend a hand here, sorry to be biased but I had a friend do this build and it preformed no better than a mild 440 , heads ?
I would do a lot of reading before you go too far and in too deep money wise,

Yes you have the 6 pack rods. Yes 6 pack engines were externally balanced both on the balancer and the flywheel/torque converter, they came with a 6 bolt steel crank. As fy469rtse said you are better of to ditch the rods and go for a set of H-beams and a lighter piston. If you are doing a 100 point resto you will need the 6 pack balancer.

Those rods came into existence in 1970 and were use on ALL HP 440s including 6 Packs, these are the
engines that were externally balanced.

The original A12s (69-1/2) had the standard rods of the day, though they were  specially selected and Magnafluxed, if I remember correctly.
Those were internally balanced.
