It sounds to me like Ford has a pretty shaky case to try and prove there.

They both have a long history of cheating whenever they have to compete with Dodge.

They have the time and resources for a pissing contest.

Just an indicator that business is good.  (Next comes the noticeable decline workmanship/fit&finish)

This has a lot to do with why you don't see a lot or any Dodge trucks in corporation fleets.  Corporations who buy or lease their work trucks don't care what brand they look for the highest capacity and buy/lease  that way.
