Altered k frame?

In my search for a 3rd gen big block k frame I came across a dart thread describing a method of modifying a charger k frame to fit, in which the author and a site member debated at length about modifying the existing dart k frame to hold the 440 by relocating the brackets/whatever they are called.

Would this be a viable alternative to Schumacher kits or k frame swapping? I remember the dart only needed more the mount brackets 1 1/16 back on drivers side and 3/4 back on passenger side.

Never once didn't start, never stranded me, never once did not take me where I needed to go. Daily driver of 4+ years.

Currently undergoing 413/727 swap after I finally beat the 318 til it lost a headgasket. The kicker is the 318 still cranks and runs like nothing is wrong. I love my ca
