Whoa, the fender tag shows a SPD of 313 which is 1 day before my Chargers' SPD of 314! Mine was also R6 but had White top/stripe interior.

Mine also has a piece of the inspection tag under the left screw but it is about 1/3rd as much left!

Looks like a pretty nice ride for the money depending on the amount of bondo on the car.

Seriously. That's an interesting ride. Is that power disc brakes or SE package?
[/quote]

No SE, and no disc brakes.

For non "RT" or other more popular optioned that is cool.  Seems few are restoring rare non RT cars (or mod them)  Not many V21s out dar...  red seems to hold the v21 well (look good on red).  Saw a v21 on a gold RT car some yrs back .... ok it did help the car..

Ghoste

I don't think I've encountered any unregistered V21 cars since taking over the registry but here is what I have.  30 total in the registry and of that number 9 are not RT's.  Of the 9, 2 are 318 cars, 2 are 383 two barrels and the rest are 383 four barrels.  When I have some time I'll look at transmissions (was it more popular with four speed owners?) and SE packages.  The earliest one registered appears to have a build date of February 24, 1969.

No A47 on the tag for SE.

Sorry, wasn't clear.  Couldn't make out the 2nd code if it was a B41 or an A47. could only make out the 4 when I looked at it earlier.

So it's a power disc brake car. Looks like someone put drums on the front or is that a shield??

No SE, and no disc brakes.

:scratchchin:

That second code looks like a B41 which is disc brakes yes?  B51 is booster.

If the Registry was up I could check my memory.  :2guns:   :D

Been back and forth with a host for a couple of weeks now believe it or not.  Plan was to have it go up while everyone was at Carlisle and surprise everybody.  Should be back online any moment now but it will start as an under construction thing and then we'll get it hammering away a bit more each day.
For the record, your memory on those two is correct however that does look like a drum doesn't it.
Are you sure that first code isn't A41 for Spring Special?  ;)

charge69

I am going with the first code being A41 as those brakes are drum brakes for sure. When blown up bigger, it is still hard to read but the top of the letter looks more like an "A" than anything else.

My secret code decoder  :icon_smile_big: says A41 is a white hat special with vinyl roof for 1969 on.

bakerhillpins

Just bustin your chops with the Registry!  I'm the net squirrel for our car club and I can't get to most of what I want to do to the site.  :slap:

Must be A41 because it has a drum master.  :2thumbs:

In all honesty, a 383 H9B car with V21, original engine and 4spd and that color combo is probably just as valuable as a copper and/or tan R/T restored...I think that's seriously a badass combo

TUFCAT

My theory  it was ordered by a guy who wanted a Charger R/T, but the insurance rating of an XP car - but still had awesome looks.  If it was me, a tic-toc-tach and a console would have made the list...probably a/c also - - since I've become an old man. :icon_smile_wink:

JB400

Maybe the dealer ordered it for the same reasons :scratchchin:

Original 383 is long gone.    I agree that if the engine was original it would be worth more than the way it sits with a 440 in it.

Cool combo, but it ain't an R/T :Twocents:

Ghoste

Doesn't make it any less a Charger though.  :icon_smile_big:

+1.....if I didn't get my R/T with original engine, the next best thing would be the 69' 335hp Charger (with the orange 383 block....not blue) with a 4 speed... :drool5:
