The headers came with the motor, I had them ceramic coated. I cut the stock flange off and welded a 3" v-band flange on so I could run 3"stainless tubes back to the mufflers. Sounds awesome. The crate motor computer only needs the front O2 sensors and they are mounted in the lower part of the manifold, keeps everything clean.

Thank you, it's been a fairly long raod, nearly 4 years, and I have to admit the motivation has been shakey at times but now that it's going together I am loving it.

I had it on the road this weekend, the car drives fantastic and the motor is a complete brute. I will have to be careful, this car could easily get out of hand.

A buddy of mine told me if I put a strut (skinny rod) on the car it would help to reduce the flex caused by the torque of the motor. I started the engine up without the strut and then again with the strut and it definitely reduced the body twist when the engine is revved. I will get a better idea when I am driving it. I put in a couple other frame stiffining mods to also help with the increased horsepower the motor is putting out.

I cannot get enough of your pictures!  That car is awesome!

I appreciate the comments very much. It has been a four year dream coming true. I go to a cruise night once a week and there was a plum crazy 70 Charger RT parked next to a Ferrari last week. Everyone was crowded around and taking pictures of the Charger.
It will be nice to start driving it and just tinkering with it.

Apologies to Ryan C for not answering your post about the car, I have been on vacation in the UK.
I made the front spoiler myself out of .125 6061-T6 aluminum sheet. It is attached directly to the valance with additional support provided by the stainless rod links. I made a cardboard template then cut the aluminum with a jigsaw.

Its great to see another one of these cars brought back to life and you did a really nice job of turning her into a car everyone wishes they had. Time to start the next one.

I still have my 39 Plymouth to complete so the next project is already planned. First though, I am going to enjoy the whole experience of owning my dream car.

hollywood1336

Some more pictures, except for the grille the outside of the car is complete. I have been looking everywhere for a grille but haven't come up with anything. There's one on ebay in norhtern California but the guy wont ship and I really don't want to buy it unless I see it first hand.  have some ideas on fabricating a custom grille which would take a lot from the original grille and add a modern touch to it. My son is going to draw it up for me so I can get a feel for how it will look.
I started wiring the car this last weekend, the EZ wiring kit seems pretty self explanatory, wiring for dummies, so we'll see how it goes. I will start from the back and work forward.
