Have a 70 RT/727 that originally had a console, now a center fold-down.

727 was modified for reverse manual pattern and we're looking for advice
on what shifter works best re: price, ease of installation and quality.

Experiences are appreciated....thanks

Joe I just installed a Winters Sidewinder and it's built like a brick. Wanting my shifter farther back then stock I had to get a longer cable and had to reroute the return cooling line as it's path was interfering with the Sidewinders transmission mounted linkage. I'm probably going to convert it from reverse lock-out to regular as it's so positive shifting the lock out is overkill for street.  :2thumbs:

I like the turbo action cheetah shifter.  The cable hooks up from the rear of the trans, eliminating the burnt cables from header heat.

word to the wise if I may, make SURE you have a good body and engine ground. if not, it'll ground through that cable and fry it.  when I was a young lad I thought it was header heat.
