I am under the impression this was a 1968 only thing? True / Not True??

Whoops Tan Top I see you already answered my question. My Bad.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Ghoste

Yes, 68 only.  If the headlights are on though, how would you see the trim (at night anyway).

Charger-Bodie

They are 68 only, but I also added them to my 69.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

My 69 had them on it.  I am the third owner, and as far as I know it came with them.

HANDM

Got a set, not installed though, the left headlight door is slightly bent so as a result it gets stuck on the trim, not cool while driving at night.......

Do you know the scheduled production date for the car?

VegasCharger

I swear one of these days I'll officially introduce my 68 Charger and myself.

Unfortunately, no.  All I got is the VIN, not on hand at the moment.  It's in storage since I am in between houses and duty stations.  I would venture to say that it's an early 69 model because it had the black button door handles too.

I'd love to get a passenger side piece for my '66 if anyone has one available.

They will not fit the first generation Chargers as the headlight design is totally different.  The first generation Chargers were designed so that the grille looked "complete" whether the headlights were exposed or hidden.
1970 Daytona Charger SE "clone" (440/Auto)
1967 Charger (360,6-pak/Auto)
2008 Challenger SRT8 BLK (6.1/Auto) 6050 of 6400

Thanks.  I knew the design was different for the 1st gens.  I simply tacked onto this thread to throw the option out there for anyone who may have a trim piece that would fit the 1966.

Ghoste

I have to look, I may have one of the ones you need for a 1st gen, if so I'll shoot a pm your way.
