And look what you settled for baldwinvette  just kidding , the Benfro had better be quick when and if he finds a candidate , these cars aren't going to get cheaper,
You should jumped on that flat black 68 , that was your deal , it's not going to come along again
I vote 95 pages and buys a Prius  :smilielol:, because fuels not around and these cars can only be viewed a museum

Thanks guys for the support I am sorry about the gramar but I do reply from my phone quite quickly but ill try to keep it legible  ;D

Here are the best cars I have found out right now from most interesting to least

http://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/cto/4648571033.html (This is way above my price range but it looks like a very cool build I wish I had the dough)

https://allentown.craigslist.org/cto/4663766762.html (very nice red charger about my price range but looks like a nice car for someone a little pricey though)

http://richmond.es.craigslist.org/cto/4641716209.html (I have contacted the owner of this car and he said that the whole car is in boxes I need to get some pictures because if its anything good then that is not a bad price for a R/T)

http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/4663028847.html (Half way restored 70 with a 69 front end the owner is pretty firm on the price but it does look like a decent car for someone that likes the 69 front end this is a bit out of my range though)

http://dallas.craigslist.org/ftw/cto/4661662374.html (71 R/T clone I dont understand this they paint R/T on the side and spoof it up a bit and it goes up to 20000 with a very bad looking 318  :o)

Ben, I am located in the north dallas area, so if you find a car you want in this area, I will gladly check it out for you.  The first one listed above, to me,  they are into that car way waaay to deep.  The 71, I dig the car, has a cool look with the AAR accents.  It may be above your price range but it is a nice candidate.  The only problem to me is this: at 15k seconds gen's are going to be costly projects.  Unless, you get lucky and when you do you have to POUNCE on it.  3rd Gen are your best bang for your buck now.  Soon that will change.  Personally, I would love to have a 3rd gen if I had the space.

I agree  :iagree:  A text? A PM?  I would call him over and over until I get a response.  I really hope you did not send this guy a text stating something like, "Will you take XXXXX dollars for it."

It's a bit harsh! He is after all a teenager and about to spend some serious money on a "toy"!Hope he will get it but if he won't that is his decision! However this car sticks all the boxes out for him so can't see why he wouldn't buy this one!

Hell,i'm might gonna start a "find my dream car for me thread"so piss some people off snd eventualyy gonna get sick of me and find me a car just to shut me up

It seems harsh, but not really considering some members are putting in genuine effort for someone's endeavor that is clearly just fun to dream about and post endless ads...and for all anyone knows he could be a 55 year-old troll typing away happily...ahhhh the magic of the internet :scratchchin:

But on a serious note...how do you unsubscribe from a thread?  :shruggy:

It was good talking to you Ben.
The price is firm for now because this is a difficult car for me to let go of...but everything has it's "good-bye" price, I suppose.

Ive got a 72 swinger as well. MUCH CHEAPER !!

Good luck.

Hey Benfro  I posted back on page 2 of this thread and at that time I was wondering how motivated you were to get one of these cars.
Since then it's become clear that you are motivated but not to have a car ---you seem to enjoy shopping for a car.  I suspect that you would be let down when you finally get one and the shopping spree was over.
If your finances were in a better place you could do both. :shruggy

I still can not figure out why Ben keeps posting cars that are so far over his budget in the first place  :shruggy:

After reading the responses above Ben, I believe an A body as in the 72 swinger above is a better and more viable option for your budget.

where'd the hate come from, wasn't everyone supporting this guy just a couple weeks ago?  :scratchchin:

Actually, that's an excellent idea to start with something less expensive!  Get the kids feet wet.  Learn about engines and other mechanicals first.  See if an "old car" is something he really wants.... Damn, I wish I was the one who thought of such sage advice!  :2thumbs:
