Hi!

my restoration has come to the engine start moment but i have some wire questions first.
My car has the se package AC and speed control etc

I have this black cable coming with a yellow going to the door contact but i dont know where this black should go.
I think they are coming from the time delay

I also wondering if there are and bracket to hold these relays somewhere behind the dash, cant find any...

Bob, in the process of redoing mine right now too.  The round canister in my car was hanging loose but the other relay fit into a sort of bracket in the lower dash frame just to the side of the ashtray.  I'll get back to you on the black wire.

bobfist

Hi

Thank you!
Yes i have a bracket for a relay to the left of the steering wheel but cant find any the the right of it.

The black cable comes with a yellow taped together from factory, can even see a factory tag on it.

The reason i ask now is that i havent done anything to the restoration in about a year  and forgot everything bec of my fathers health condition.

I lost my father who also was my best friend in cancer a week ago and now i feel that i need to continue the restoration.

Now its up to me (Tony) and Bjarne to continue the www.BobFist.com restorations.

I recall a black wire in mine that is used for the trunk light.
Has been a while so dont go and plug it in without confirming this.

Is it on the right or left of the radio.  I have a similar wire on the right side of my radio that plugs into a white lead (going to the heater?).

bobfist

To the left of the radio  taped in factory together with a yellow going to the door switch. its almost all the way to the left a-pillar

I have one over there that plugs into the switch on the parking brake but its a different style connector.

bobfist

The only thing i can image it would be is the 14BK coming from the heater blower motor switch looking at my diagram.
But i have the a/c and i guess that is for non a/c car so i dont think i have that cable anyway.
That black cable are connected with a black and white wire in similar connector

Could it be the one connected with 14BK* at this diagram?
"To instrument panel wiring" ??? Dosent say any color on the other side connector

I posted a few pictures on this  some time ago , is that black wire wrapped in the main harness ?   looks like its the one from the ignition buzzer , given the location  in your picture , the black wire from the fuse box for  heater blower is really short & its by the fuse box where it connects to the blower motor harness (

follow where that wire runs to , with out any more detailed pictures ,  i'm pretty sure it connects to a double yellow wire that has a female spade connector with a black plastic cover  its for interior lights ,

sorry to hear about your Dad
