It seems like I remember a thread about a 68 charger that was stolen.  If my memory is correct it is the same car.  I can't remember if the car was returned back to its owner or not.  From the description I am assuming that it has been.  Just wanting to make sure.  :2thumbs: http://tampa.craigslist.org/psc/cto/4480533036.html  Oh and it does seem like a decent project car... :yesnod:

Yes, I know I have too many cars. My wife reminds me daily.

Kinda strange he lists it as a 69, almost as if he doesn't have the ownership  :scratchchin:

They also have some "back in the day" pictures of the car on the add.  That car in those old pictures has a 69 grille, fenders, and tail panel.  The current pictures are of a 68 grille, fenders, quarters, and interior, but the tail panel is a 69...  :shruggy:  It just doesn't seem like they are the same cars....

look to be the same pictures?  :scratchchin:

Yes.. same car.  I guess it was found and returned...I just could not remember the name of that thread.  Oh well, I just like to keep an eye out when I am searching craigslist.

Still kinda strange, its a 68 charger from BC, on a Tampa craigslist add, Claiming that its a 69, and reusing pictures from this site.... ohwell

F*cker stole MY pictures........not to mention the car is NOT for sale at this moment, especially in Tampa. I was in the middle of a deal to purchase it when it got stolen. I ended up tracking it down and finding it. Called the cops and they came and returned it back to the owner. He ended up getting partial cold feet about selling it and is still holding onto it.

I flagged the ad, I would appreciate if others would do the same. :flame:

Who cares? Where should we draw the line? The more that we accept poor spelling and grammar, the worse we get. Do we want to improve as a society or just continue to get dumber? Look at how bad people spell when texting.  It must be stopped. I am merely a high school graduate but I take pride in using proper spelling when I post. Look at how terrible many craigslist ads are in regards to grammar. Years ago when a seller had to place an ad through the newspaper, an educated person took your info and placed your ad. Now that any Joe Schmo can place an ad, there is no system of checks and balances to filter out the poor spelling.

A lot of the ads today have large comedic value  :Twocents: I laugh over much of the grammar used on CL, etc. It's pretty funny to read, and they are not typos, clearly.

Shame though on the scammers, which this ad seems to involve.  :popcrn:

Spelling is important if you want to make a good impression....I have noticed more errors in major magazines than I ever did back in the day.........to bad as it distracts from the articles.  (Trust me, I am no literary giant myself....)  *Note picture is just for fun... :nana:

I'm guessing he used the pic of the 68 as an "Accurate representation" of what his 69 looks like.  People online do it all the time.  Hell, I still find pictures of my old brown/gold 85 Pontiac Bonneville (Parked in front of my parents house) up on Kijiji adds everynow and then.

Hey Red, it's actually "in regard to"!  There is no such saying as "in regards to".  You must have it confused with "as regards".  This is the third time I've pointed out your own spelling or grammatical errors when you're trying to call out others for their mistakes.  Now shut the hell up and let people type the way they want.  No one had a hard time figuring out what he meant by typing ADD.

I don't mind honest mistakes, we all do that but I can't stand the texting with run on sentences and no capitals or punctuation and purposely misspelled words.

Now why don't you all tell us how you really feel?   :D
Tomorrow is promised to NOBODY . . . .

ACUDANUT

Do we get a grade on spelling here ?  I hope I win a ribbon.  :D

I can't give you a ribbon but here's a cyber beer of appreciation.

I'm getting called out on a grammatical error that is far more unusual and difficult than Add versus Ad ...? Really?
