I agree it is 70 B body bench shifter but, it is not at factory height for sure. I would bet there is some sort of extension under the aftermarket boot that the shifter is bolted or welded too.

You'd look like Rat Fink driving that thing.  I have a B-body bench pistol grip that I once bolted onto an extended shifter in an Omnicharger I used to have.  Of course, we did it for the express purpose of looking stupid, so...

if im not mistaken, i believe ive seen them taller shifters somehere , i beleive they are fabricated for full size trucks

You can buy new pistol grips for the new ram trucks-----could be one of those as they would be much taller.

Well the car is moded a lot but to spend that much money and have some queer looking shifter....weird

Sell the shifter and use the profits to properly finish the engine bay. Norhing turns me off quicker than a puportedly high dollar car with a K-Mart underhood.
