I think I've solved my head and header decision's and now need some help with cam selection.  I'd like to show up to the machine shop with a little more input than what each manufacturer tells me.  I was looking at the Comp Cams Xtreme Energy High Lift .525 cam, XE 275HL.  Any thoughts.  A few specifics on the motor....470",10.7:1,Eddy RPM's, TTI 1 7/8 headers, RPM intakes, not sure on carb yet.  Currently have a 727 with 3:23's.  Want to  lower gears in future and install a Gear Vendor unit.  This is going in a 73 Charger.

Thanks,
Scott

I have that cam in my eddy head 440, 71 charger auto 3.23. It is a little soft down low but in saying that when you give it a boot full it will lay down rubber for 100 feet no problem. Nice lope at idle pulls 13" vacuum @900rpm and 16" at cruise, plenty for power brakes. I like it for how I use it, at 10.7:1 you may be on the edge with that cam for pump gas though. Mine is 10.2:1 and it runs fine on 93 and is Ok on 91 with a small amount of ping at full throttle at times. If you are going for lower gears and with the cubes you could probably use more cam but I'm sure others with more knowledge than me will chime in.
