I have a question about a small block water pump. I removed this pump from my 1971 Challenger, non A/C, w speed car due to leakage. I remember changing this pump in 1974. It's an 8 vane pump, part number 2951571. I was going to replace it with a 6 vane pump and decided not to and to stick with the 8 vane pump.. Here's my question. In the picture, you see the six vane pump with the typical style  number 3830822  and pentastar . The pump I removed is the other pump with pentastar and part number 2951571. Do you think it's an original  8 vane seeing as it has the pentastar and number or an aftermarket I picked up in 1974 that the manufacturer copied the Mopar logo and number? I don't remember where I bought it. Thanks.

By the way, the six vane pump will be going in my 74 Charger since the pump is rebuilt, has a date of late 1973 and has the smaller water pump pulley for a/c.
