Rear shock washers??

Working on putting the rear end back together on my 68. I bought a set competition engineered 3 way adjustable shocks. Unfortunately I can't seem to find all of my washers that came off the original shocks. The original ones are concaved , do they have to be or could I just put a regular washer on there??

should be the concaved ones......flat ones will work though

Reading threw the manual before putting it all together.  Looking at the diagrams , are the washers only on the bottom perch? The top is just the bolt threw the crossmember or am I a missin something !

washers only on bottom, no washers on top.
