JB400

Looks good, but is there a particular reason for not painting the whole upper body at once?

To quote Dirty Harry "A Man's got to know his limitations" Short arms didn't help either ;-)

So the entire car is finally painted just need to 800g block sand the quarter panels and shoot two more coats of clear as I have done with all the panels. Then I get to move into the next stage, color sanding and polishing all of the panels, fun stuff   "Not!"

AWESOME JOB Pat!  :2thumbs:

A couple of questions:

It looks like with all the over spray on the floor, you would have trouble getting junk in your paint.
It seems like the more you paint the worse it would get. I'm sure your not, I am just wondering if you wet the floors or how you keep dust to a minimum?

The pic where you sanded the clear and left the body line made me think of my body line on my quarters.  My body line appears to drop in the rear, when I sight along it front to back. I would think that it should be laser straight and perfectly horizontal.
How are yours?

I cant wait to get my car to this point!
YES I have paint envy!

Don,

The clearcoat actually locks it all down on the floor and in between every big spray I actually wipe the floor down with lacquer thinner. In such a closed in environment I think the water may actually affect the paint. In a more open environment wetting the floor is a great idea,  wait that did not sound right ;-)

As for the body line I'll try to take you a picture giving you a better idea but it does have a similar shape to the top of the quarter panel

Thank you
Pat

All the paint and clear is applied now time for the color sanding and polishing (yea;-)
Thanks
