Every so often I check to see if there are any new parts that I can use. Detroit Muscle Technologies now lists torsion bar boots, gas tank pads, and A/C dash vents/hoses. Still no 68 tail light gaskets but I don't have anything close to needing those yet...

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

The guy is a good dude. I parted out a 73 roadrunner long time ago and listed an a/c-heater box on craigslist.  He bought it to use as gasket patterns... this was about 2005 or 2006.  When he came over he was talking about his business, which was already starting to boom back then.  I wish him great success for two reasons, #1 he took a risk and started up his business from a hobby,  and #2 he's from the Detroit suburbs near me and I won't have to pay shipping! :icon_smile_wink:

Troy...did you contact him about reproducing these? He's pretty good at getting things made if there is a demand for them

He makes every gasket & seal on the 66 & 67 Chargers...I figure a 68 gasket would have more of a demand

As far as I know if you send him good complete used gasketts, He can make you knew ones from your old ones. Nice Guy, Used to talk to him alot when I was restoring Mopars years ago but not much lately. LEON.

I walked into his tent at Carlisle the other year and said I have a 69 Charger RT with air.     Gimme everything...
I spent over $600 and it fit neatly into 2 bags.  :Twocents:

Anyway,  I hope I realllly have everything I need.   I've only used underdash insulation and a gas pedal gasket so far.    I did look at the kit for the AC / heater box and it's got just about everything including the foam so will be starting to clean that up soon.   Still waitng on the overpriced dual heater core to be delivered.
Black Betty:  1969 Charger R/T - X9 440 six pack, TKO600 5 speed, 3.73 Dana 60.
Sinnamon:  1969 Charger R/T - T5 440, 727, 3.23 8 3/4 high school sweetheart.

That's kind of my point: I have several boxes and bags full of their parts but now they have new stuff that I didn't get when I said "Gimme everything"! Now I have to keep track of what I didn't buy yet. That's a good thing - just more for me to be responsible for!

Troy, are you talking about the gasket for the Light housing to body? I just got the tail light gasket kit from DMT which is for the Bezels to housing and for all the lens...Great items!! I just sent Jim at DMT some pics of the small white foam body washers that go on the 68 rear tail panel trim posts and emblems which stop rattles and seals it up a bit. Should have a part # soon. :2thumbs:
