After I have my charger running for a few minutes and cut it off it is hard to start up again...Almost like it is not getting fuel or the battery is dead...The battery is brand new and has been tested and I am running a mini starter on the car.

I would say it is possibly the timing is too advanced? that would cause the high load on the starter with symptoms of a dead battery :scratchchin: If it cranks ok cold then is hard to start when it's heat soaked I would look there.

how do fix it being heat soaked?

Not getting fuel and a dead battery are different directions. Does the engine crank at normal speed during a hot start? (restart, 5-15 minutes after shutdown)

If the engine is being cranked at a noticeably slower rate during a hot start, try grounding the coil wire. (or just jump the starter relay) Does the starter still struggle to crank the engine?

If the starter cranks the engine normally with the ignition not firing the plugs ,you may have too much base timing.

If the starter still struggles to crank the engine ,it could be a heat soaked starter, a weak starter/battery/cables or deposits in the combustion chamber causing pre ignition (rare)

A heat soaked starter  usually is a header is too close the starter . It gets too warm during driving and ends up binding during your next start. After it cools it returns to normal.   A heat shield might help. I have a thermal blanket on my mini starter.

How do "Jump the Coil Wire"?

flyinlow

Not jump the coil wire, ground it. Pull the coil wire out of the distributor and ground it to the engine. This prevents the spark plugs from firing. If your starting problem is to much ignition
timing, cranking the engine without ignition will tell. Don,t do this if there is any fuel spilled on the engine.

The description of the problem is very basic and could be several things. Perhaps a video of the attempted starts would help us diagnos it. My initial thought is heat soak, boiling the fuel but its just a guess without seeing the car try to start
