I don't have a answer, but have seen many with them. Same as a 71 R/T.

Definitely on the 71, I think you could on the 72 as well.

Concealed headlights were SE only.

That is incorrect.

The hideaway headlights were available on the "Rallye" and the "Topper" as well as on the "SE"

Just when you thought you knew it all, an interesting question comes along!

The 1972 Charger Sales literature (darted Aug 71) says that concealed headlamps were only available on SE, but later magazine ads clearly show it was available otherwise on the topper.

Where is the proof that they were available on a Rallye? (I don't have any - but I don't see why they could not).

Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

I 'm the original owner of a '72 Charger Rallye and it has hideaway headlights--just as I ordered from the factory.

Standard on SEs and Toppers... optional on Rallyes.

71s were kinda diff, standard on SEs, Optional on R/Ts and Bees, not an option on Toppers

Used to own a 72 Rallye 440 car that had hideaways. It will have the code L37 on the fender tag.
