Welded in the antena Hole and Front fender hole, not sure what mounts in the front holes?

fender mount turn signals

not the best pic but look at front fenders

Nacho-RT74

fender indicators posters are 71/72 kind, attached from inside the fender with nut on the stud... correct ones for you would be the 73 and lates setup, using a selftapping phillips screw from top

Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

That's too bad. Those are extremely easy to find and even thought they were supposedly an option, all 73-4 Chargers had them.
And Nacho is correct, those are pre73 lamps posted.  These are 73 and up.
It was in the "Light Package" A01 which was included in all the other packages as well.
You couldn't purchase a replacement fender with out the hole either.
Well, the good thing is you can always redrill if you want them.
Just sayin'.   :icon_smile_wink:

MAD

Thanks for the info guys. I may re-drill when i pick up new ones or may leave smooth and flush. I guess only time will tell.
Im jumping back and worth on the idea of customizing the car to a eye catching widewody charger or staying stock looking and think im gonna try blending the two sleek widebody classic charger..

archie360

Brown ain't that bad.  It will grow on ya  ;)

1971 SE 383HP     1972 Rallye 340

MAD

Thats a sweet brown. i like that a bit better then my current gold/brown..

MAD

Sorry guys, but somebody's gotta do it......

MAD

Cardboard ruff template.

MAD

Gonna run Mickey Thompson 12.5 sportsman pros on the back with 1" wheel adapter.

MAD

Has a nicer looking quater with a flat top kinda like the A Bodys

I don't think I'd recommend the wide body treatment.  To make it look right would take you a lot longer than 2 months.  I'd recommend fender flares.  Here is a pic of the Olympia Charger with a subtle fender flare on the front.  I think if you done something of this sort front and back, it'd give you a better look than the wide body.

I would also have to say no to the widebody thing, the 71-74 is wide enough the way it is.  :Twocents:
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

MAD

Spent an hour in the shop after work. Got the Widebody Quarter panel template almost complete. Purchasing the Back wheels and tires tomorrow, then i can dial in where the lip will end etc etc.. I Know im catching a lil eeeek from some guys but hey i think this thing is gonna make kids at car shows go crazy... I remember watching corvette summer when i was a kid and thought what he did was amazing and i was hooked on wild cars since then.. Big BIG Daddy Roth fan

MAD

Trying to keep the lines smooth.

MAD

When i walk to the driver side it looks so boring now..

MAD

Calling it a night... Love the flares on the Charger you guys posted but i think my car may look funny with 12.5 mickey thompsons and flares that randomly stick out

A little off the subject of this build, but this statement is incorrect. All 73-74 Chargers did NOT have the fender mounted turn signal indicators. It may just seem so, because so many did.  :icon_smile_big:

I'll definitely be watching this thread with interest. 73+ Nascar Chargers had a similar treatment on the quarter panels, though not to the extreme you are going.

That last pic kinda looks like a vette quarter  :scratchchin: , and to be honest i like the idea, if you  can pull it off i say go for it, most people here don't seem to care about 3rd gen chargers anyway, so don't let them stop you   :2thumbs:

Nacho-RT74

no, but, oh, well, is your car :P :)

once again if you're gona build something weird like that LOL, and will rid off the white interior panels, I could be a good receiptent of those ( specially lower rears and pillars, both if not chalky )

HAHA like the comment (no one here likes 3rd gens anyways) The funny thing is i love the third gens. Im only 29 so i guess i grew up with hotwheels that were a little more extreme then the ones the older guys grew up with.. Wide Body, Big Wheels and unique graphics really sticks in the brain..

Picking up the Mickey Thompson 28x12.5x15LT's Sportster pros tonight mounted on 10" Cragar Super Spoke rims.

Im only 20, and actually i was going to buy a very similar 73 charger before i got my 68 ... but the guy wanted too much for it, and it had no drivetrain... or floors.... or glass... or wiring... or dash...
