You just nailed it.  Need to find a buyer who lusted for them new and missed his chance or similar sentiment and that won't be easy.  If you're lucky though, there is a well heeled buyer for every car and somewhere out there someone is sitting around missing 1988 and the Chrysler 5th Ave.

Actually laying around!!   As in a grave yard!!!   Everyone 1/2 way interested in a car like that died off years ago.....    :smilielol:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

I loved the one I had new in 86.....my brother bought a used 85 one .......both very comfortable to drive......only issue we had was the ....is it the lean burn system?......mine I converted to propane way back when...
If one was cheap near me I would buy one for around $2500 in mint shape

In all honesty, if I was to go for a car with that body style, I'd stick with an 80's G-body.  Abundance in parts, a simple setup with a great ride.  They really were the best choice IMO for the time period.

Owned 2 85 Bonneville's over the last 7 years, both were great, easy to work on, very reliable.  Even made one into a quick little cruiser with a 355chev & the rear out of a Grand National...

If I was up against a wall with a gun drawn on me, I'd probably pay 1500$ Max for that 5th Avenue.  But, every day I'd drive with much animosity towards it...
