Does this happen to you guys?  This has happened to me more than a handful of times two instances on the highway the passenger of the driver is videotaping me while drivng and many other times I casually drive out of parking lot and its blatantly obvious your taping me with your phones and they try to hide it or something.  One guy at starbucks sitting down videotaping me trying to be icognito or something for example.

One girl today videtaped me on the highway and I smiled back and she then put her camera down and then brought it right back up thinking I didnt see her.

No never Very rarely does anyone even LOOK  at my car when driving. This is Sydney Australia not many people here know or care about rare cars. I would feel like a celebrity if I got videod    {1970 charger}

whaaat...I thought you Aussies were the Kings of burn outs with old muscle cars down there?

As for feeling like a celebrity my kids get that one every time they get to ride in the car they feel super special since its dads special car that everyone looks at.  The know when they are in it people are looking at the car and them and want to talk to dad every time he gets out.

My buddies dad had a 1970 chevy nova I believe and no one ever videotaped us while in it driving.

I am referring to general driving not to car events.

Happens to me from time to time.  Maybe it's because I've lived with this car for 20 years, but it's just a car and I wish people would calm down about it.  Besides, isn't there a technologically superior and way more cool Scion they'd rather be filming?

The undercover papparazzi happens to me on occasion as well.

Wanna trade?

I'm just kidding.  Now I have to go outside and kiss my car to take back what I said.  But I DO love 68's...

...with the PA drivers passing by in the RIGHT lane at 90!

I can't believe you drive a Charger and don't expect people to take pictures. If you don't like the attention buy a silver Prius.

Troy
Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

RECHRGD

Yep, happens all the time.  It doesn't bother me unless it's the driver doing it and they start drifting too close to the Charger...

It's quite possible that has happened...   right before I pass them back on the left at 100 ;)

I was really just having a little fun with Bill cuz he's usually trailering his cars :)   It's all good

It is the era of YouTube and inexpensive HD video.  Plus, you are driving a Charger.  That is also why there is a 'Chargers in the Wild' thread on this forum(although slightly different being Charger central).  It is funny that they try to hide it from you.

Seriously
There is a thread here about seeing chargers in the wild....seems ALLOT on here that sees one snaps its picture to post, I never get that excited seeing a car ...maybe I'm old...or maybe I see a billion at car shows  :shruggy:

1974dodgecharger

I do not see them doing it to chevys and fords  :icon_smile_big: For example a C10 thats been lowered, supercharged (you can hear), I mean decked out, and guess what everyone talks to me about the 'charger' and not the decked out C10 in the same gas station and tell me how nice my car is.

Also my buddy had a 70 nova I believe tailored to his liking off the assembly and no one compliments on him on like they do the charger.  His father was original owner, has original order sheet, build sheet how he wanted etc...every orignal with get this 2500 miles only and yet no one videotapes him while driving.

enough of my rant.....Im not annoyed or anything, but curious what the 'mysitque' is with the charger vs other classical cars.  :icon_smile_big:

71green go

Maybe your a freak :) just kidding..........I get people standing by 5.0 when I come out of stores just to talk about it...I get annoyed and my cutlass convert had a ton of pics taken......it is the ERA of the cars....not everyone will like trucks or certain models...but enjoy it while it lasts....its like being a celebrity

Lol, good friend of mine with the cleanest, strongest '72 Nova SS I've ever seen would always get looked over when the Charger with its rust, hacked interior and dirty engine bay was parked right beside him.  Strange stuff, to be sure, and it's too bad he doesn't have the Nova anymore now that my Charger is slowly becoming an equal to his Nova...

I'd feel pretty awkward about someone filming me and would say something. I always get people hurrying to pull out their cell phone to snap a pic when I'm in the '68 which I don't mind but never some filming me.

I would prefer not to be taped as well, but I don't think you can 'legally' stop them, if it is in a public place.  However, if considered to be stalking or as some intimidation factor then it could be considered illegal.  Not a lawyer, just what a quick search returned.

jaak

IDK about filming, but I know my car gets it photo taken A LOT when I'm out in it. Heck I would love to see some of those pics. I don't have any pics of it
'in action' would love to have some of them.
