Chris' '69 Charger R/T

Mytur Binsdirti

A matching driving suit is definately in order.

Why do they always do this to 68's.......

1974dodgecharger

Very artistic......the ultimate mayhem charger.

Baldwinvette77

its has the same interior design as my charger, right down to the missing horn button, i guess that means my charger is show quality

I bet though your car starts and theirz does not they push that thing up a trailer and back.

bill440rt

Pretty sure that car was posted before somewhere on here.  :yesnod:
Caption on the web page says it's a work in progress. Metalwork alone looks very impressive. Should be bad a$$ when done.
"Strive for perfection in everything. Take the best that exists and make it better. If it doesn't exist, create it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough." Sir Henry Rolls Royce

" I have spent thousands of dollars and countless hours researching what works and what doesn't and I'm willing to share"

Daytona R/T SE

The metal work looks good.

Other than that...

I hate everything about it.  :puke:

And...

If you're going to build a bazillion dollar hot rod show car type thingie...

Don't hold your trunk lid open with a stick... :slap:

Engineer some springs or torsion bars or something to hold it up. :brickwall:

I don't get why they would want to wide-body it.  That may have been a huge effort but it doesn't automatically mean it makes a huge improvement.  The original width was just an arbitrarily-picked size by the designers.

Chargers got a couple inches wider in '71 too.  People don't gush about the extra width every time a 3rd-gen gets brought up.

myk

As if 2nd Gens aren't wide enough?  Well, to each their own...

The taillights lend themselves to this type of mod.  To do it to a 69 or 70 would require longer taillights to get it to look right.

Personally, why not just tub it like a pro street?

I'm sure the wheels are just a mock up.

I know from following Nelson Racing Engines on YouTube and his web site that he built the engine for it and I believe he/his shop fabricated the body and underlying structure. This included widening the rear fenders 2/3 inches. I saw the project in earlier stages but this is the first time I'm seeing it like this. Quick opinion? Love the DeLorean finish. Hate the wheels if indeed they are the final result. All else? I'll have to read more. Note: Check out Nelson's Racing Engines on YouTube. All are high horsepower, most twin turbo'ed, idle sanely, run cool and do better burnouts from a rolling 50 MPH that most cars from a stand still with or without line lock. Check it out!
Malicious, vindictive, spiteful, cynical, pessimistic, sarcastic, & antagonistic. And those are my good traits!

I think there is a member here with a super cool 68 charger with a hemi that bought engine from them and was NOT impressed, had to rebuild everything,basically---

All his cars are the same engine, nothing wrong with 2k HP but the engine in the charger not unique to the charger itself.

Out and out ignorance!

All the same engines? Explain this.   http://www.nelsonracingengines.com/engines/chevy.htm

Not unique? lt's not even finished. The engineering is so precise and the look while not being to everyone's liking certainly IS unique. Think not? Show me another.

More food for thought. http://youtu.be/Keuz4PBccWo     http://youtu.be/zOGLv96cLMA

Oh can't forget their 2k HP sleeper camaro oh wait its all twin turbo  :2thumbs:

It was widened and displayed in bare metal, for the specific purpose of showing the craftsmanship of their metal work and fabrication.

RallyeMike

There's a stick propping p the trunk! They stole that finish from Delorean!  The dumbasses forgot to put glass in it!     You guys crack me up...

The craftsmanship is very fun to look at in this unfinished state. You don't get to see a lot of it when the car is done.

no question , their  metal fabrication is awesome  , amazing in fact !!  clever stuff  :yesnod:   :yesnod: :coolgleamA:  but imo they have put all that work in to a no no  car , cant see any charger enthusiast  wanting that car !!    rebuild / customise a charger , but don't mess with a basic structure of the car ! imo  :Twocents:

If they were all stock, it would be an awfully boring hobby.
