I have 489 276 single trac rear end in my 69 and I was wondering if I could just change out the carrier with a new type of sure grip and gears.
has anyone used this auburn posi type?

There are reports that that Auburn Gear unit won't work with factory axle bearings, no thrust block.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I am running that one purchased from Dr. Diff.  This was after 3 failed spider gear sets in the repro clutch type SG made by Nitro.  Dr.Diff made good on all 3 sets as well as a deal on this new Auburn unit.

John K. might be correct....I am running Green Style sealed bearings on my axles.

Call up Cass (Dr. Diff) he will set you up with what ever you need.
