I know it's a "to each their own" thing, but I just can't help thinking that a six-pack hood scoop is WRONG on a second gen.

Personally I can't decide if I like 6 pak hoods on 2nd Gens or not, which is why at some point I'll have both and switch out as I see fit.  As for the '70 in the 'OP?  It looks.....OK, but it's a bit of a mess...

I think he said it was a drag car and I think the fenders are fiberglass
