so the fresh mean 440 and 727 are in the car brakes are ready to bleed, parts ready to order and, i have a trailer rim and tire for the drivers front, because my other tire is leaking at the beed so its good to sit and be pushed currently

Long story short I need tires
i have a decent set of solid alum Centerline rims 14 front 15 rear
current tires front E 70 14   or like 205/75 R14
and Rear 285/65 R15

problem is noone really makes my 285/65 r15 that seems to fit so lovely under my car, (never drove the car so no idea about tire rub)

how big can i fit under my car with out rubbing terribly?
my rear rims are wide enough to handle a 10.5+in wide tire but the car cant

whats the biggest rear tires i can run?
whats the BEST size front tire to run?
a few good time names to look for? (cheap but not junk)

Thanks ALOT

Search these topics. Lots of threads about rear tire size. The consensus is 295-50-15 as largest in most cases.

We run a 325/50R15 out back with plenty of room. It's a bfg drag radial.

Another vote for that idea; 17 or 18 inches fills the wheel wells just right, giving a modern look to the car while still allowing you to run a 45 or 50 aspect-ratio for traction...

There are guys run 8's on a 10" tire. 275's are plenty with room for sidewall flex and no rubbing. 295's fit with the perfect rim but its tight

Al

Had 305 on my 68, with no problems. Now I have 295 as the 305 are difficult to find.

I currently run 275/60/15's with no issues on the rear. The 295/50/15's seem to work too. Check your back spacing and if running an aftermarket wheel, you could even go wider with the right setup. Let us know what you choose!  :2thumbs:

275/60/15 fits like a glove on a stock 68-70 charger. Thats what my 69 has.
