I'm hearing a cheap plastic geared thingy is what breaks when the lumbar support fails in late model Ram trucks.
Anyone have this issue with your truck? If so, did you have to completely remove the seat from the truck to make this repair or can it be accomplished by just in unbolting the seat and laying it back to expose its guts?

Mines electric too. I've read that it's this cheap white plastic spiral gear that comes apart and is an easy fix. I trying to find out if I can make the fix by just unbolting the seat and laying it on its back instead of taking it completely out of the truck.

You just know a dealership will charge a lot of cash to make the repair.

That was great information, thank you! I wonder if the electric version uses the same mechanics? Google search tonight at wine time.
