Just trying to plan ahead here, winter is still going, don't get all excited!

My car's been off the road since mid August.  It has been sitting on stands in an unheated garage in SE Mi.  The fuel tank is empty and without sending unit.  New fuel lines installed.  Nothing hooked up to the fuel pump but it will be replaced with a new one.  The fuel line is disconnected from the carb and I did not do anything to the carb after shutting it off so there was fuel in the bowl.  (TQ)

The radiator was removed, the water neck hose is gone.  Belts are off, alt is off so some reassembly is required.  Got a new Firecore RTR installed, took my best calculation to get it, hopefully, in the right spot.

I have quite a bit of work left to do and hope to get it back on its wheels by spring.  Loads of new electrical changes have been made and I'm going to need eyes on everything once the car fires up to make sure nothing goes wrong.  So what are basic, common procedures to make sure you did all you needed to do?  Do I open up the carb and clean it out?  Oil priming?  Belt tension procedure (a/c car).

There are new parts bolted on here and there, a new water neck is also needed as mine looks a bit brittle.  What are re-torqueing procedures for things like that?  Once or twice after warming up the engine?

Any tips welcome!

Dino, I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill.  ;) Bolt on the need parts, make sure the oil is good to go and give her hell and fire her up!  :2thumbs:

what Ken said....you will like what you done.

Good thing about cars is that they break, we fix em, etc...and its enjoyment we get out of them especially cars we love.  :2thumbs:

Don't forget to put coolant in the radiator.
As much as I hate to admit it, I forgot to do this once after installing a new engine in my Bee.  :rotz:  Guess I was thinking too much about all the little things I didn't want to overlook. :slap:  Fortunately I caught it before the engine got too hot.

Thank guys!  Yeah I know I'm being a bit too careful but better safe than sorry.  I would hate to start up the car only to suck bad fuel through it.  I'll be real careful not to forget to add liquids.   :yesnod:
