Transmission lines?

Can someone tell me which fitting on the transmission is pressure and which is the return? It seems like the front one is the pressure and the rear one is the return, but I don't know for sure. ??? I would just crank the engine over with the lines in a bucket, but the motor is freshly rebuilt and the cam isn't broken in yet, so I don't want to crank it any more than I have to, yet.

the rear is the return line.
