Doesn't look totally "stock", but what's been changed?   :shruggy:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Race hemi
springs
torsion bars
reinforced torque boxes
frame connectors
cage
pretty sure the brakes are different

In 68 they still had operable windows though. All of the dash was blanked out and replaced with Stewart-Warner gauges. Exhaust dumped out the sides just behind the door in front of the rear tires. Fuel cell replaced the gas tank with a breather for over flow on top of the quarter panel.  No head lights.Tail light panel was covered. This car was considerably lower than stock especially the front to rear rake. There was a rear end cooler in the back seat area. Most of the hood liner was removed for weight. Hood pins to keep the hood and trunk lid closed. Cowl area was modified to induct air into a sealed air cleaner. Windshield wipers deleted. Obviously no interior to speak of except the driver seat which was a modified seat to hold the driver against G forces. Not sure if they were doubling up on the shocks in 68. In 69 there were 2 shocks per wheel.  No inner fender wells in the front.

Baldwin, They all had cut front fenders and most of the time rolled rear quarters and sometimes cut larger.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

The entire body was cut away from the floor pan & lowered 2" in front.
I would really like to know where the cut lines are, what the pivot point
is & where the 2" are measured.  That cheat was in from the beginning
at MoPar.  1968 ASAIK.  In those days you would get little blurbs about
NASCAR in HotRod etc.  An independent parked his car next to 1 of the
factory cars in 69.  Oh, the hell that was raised to get that car moved -
lest the changes suddenly became evident. Smokey Yunick may have
been Chevy & was arguably the most blatant at it:  but everyone was
chopping & relocating things to some degree back then :yesnod:

Looks like the door gaps have been filled too for cleaner airflow.

A good start.    No frame connectors as we know them, but some cars had an tubular X brace underneath the center section.

Add to your list: literally every structural piece from the firewall forward is proprietary and does not interchange with street.
fabricated K frame welded in
fabricated upper and lower control arms
sway bar
fabricated firewall
larger spindles and hubs
3" or 3 1/2" drums
15" double center reinforced wheels with larger bolt pattern

You are on the right track.

Mr. odcis2:   Are we looking at the 68 1/2 car from July?

Very possible, Mr. Aero426, very possible...

Has any one else noticed in some photos, the resemblance of baker to jerry Lewis, did he lead a double life with his martini drinking pal, was comedy a way to release the stresses of NASCAR
:D

Ghoste

No I haven't actually noticed that but I have heard that he was a big fan of pranks.  Don't know if there is any truth to it or not.

Aero426

I think quite a few of them were known to pull pranks.   George Wallace the engineer said that Glotzbach once threw lit M-80's into his motel room.   George also said when they were testing in Atlanta,  he was driving and Charlie was in the passenger seat.   Going down the freeway, Glotzbach reached over, put the transmission in park, shut off the ignition, removed the keys and pretended to throw them out the window.   George had the presence of mind to ignore the racket from the parking pawl and sort of steered the car to a halt on the side of the road.

Ghoste

I think there could be video of Wallace relating the key story from one of the wing car meets.  At least I feel like I've seen it.

That would be a cool paint scheme for a driver! You NEVER see that at any shows!

Found it, the prank story on video is from the 2004 Aero Reunion at Talladega.  It's on John Pappas video of the guest speakers about 17 minutes in.
