Where is the places to buy bubble wrap? I looking for some that is 14 to 16 inch wide and as long as I can get it.

I am packing up the HO Train gear so I can get the 68 Road Runner in from the cold. So far I have only wrapped 96 train cars and still have around 200 to go. I have been buying it from a local U Haul and have used 4 rolls at $5.00 for each roll. Then I have around 40 engines, about 20 do not have factory boxes. Plus some 80 HO buildings.

At this rate I going to go broke buying bubble wrap!  :brickwall:

I get a lot of mine from a parts receiving place.  May not be rolls of it but it's free and they'd be throwing it away anyway.  If there is a place nearby that sells glassware they might have some to give ya if you ask them nicely if they don't like to have it laying around.

Just searched my local cragslist.  It was anywhere from cheap to free.

You probably know, but, buying from a shipping store will be even more expensive than Uhaul.
I just posted one, however, there were many inexpensive options on ebay.

Order it from ULine.    It is UPS-able with no oversize fees.    Item S-2501, $25 for a 12" x 300 foot roll.   It is 3/16 and will work well on your trains.

When you order from ULine, you will get it rocket fast.   If you can deliver to a business address, it will save a little on shipping too.    My last roll was about $10 to $12 to ship.

If you were to ship a box full of bubble wrap, would you still need to surround it in paper, packing peanuts or bubble wrap?  :scratchchin:

They just ship it in a roll shrink wrapped in plastic.

Home Depot & Lowes also sell bubble wrap.

If you don't mind scavenging, one place I've gotten large boxes with packing materials I've needed occasionally has been the places that rent TV's & furniture.

Home Depot, 250' x 12" for $30 is not a bad deal.   No shipping.
